Experience
I have been tutoring since I began high school. Recently, I have been tutoring college students in various levels of mathematics, all of which have found a new understanding to the complexity of mathematics. I would also tutor adults in both English and math, who were furthering their education. I have been tutoring for the past 6 years. The best part about tutoring is getting to know my student's strengths and weaknesses and conjuring up a teaching method that is primarily for their understanding. Throughout this method, I learn more about the student in general and can cater to their specific needs in regards to the subject at hand. It is also wonderful to see that they comprehend and can then apply what was taught. As a tutor with a respectable amount of experience, I have found myself in many situations where I must adapt. That being said, I have learned much over the years and now I hold myself to a high standard when I teach a student. This is in reference to my approach to the student and subject, the end result and everything in between. Also, I hold my students to a very high standard, however, it is always attainable and varies from student to student.
